This is one of my favorite joints of all time! Off the Violator compilation album Volume 1.
"Blue Slide Park" drops November 8th.
The Note [Gensu Dean Remix] is a serious, slightly ominous toned track starts with singing in what almost sounds like a call to prayer over a sitar. Then Dean cuts up some drums, adds some bass stabs, and layers vocal chanting throughout the beat to create a thought provoking, heavy new edition of Apollo's original.
Additionally Dean drops a new chorus reflecting on those who are so caught up in the grind for money that they lose sight of the everyday folks - a sort of note to self to maintain focus on what's important even while some blaze up in their pursuit of materialism. Hassaan Mackey of course spits raw and reflects on writing, music, and the deals we make: "Looking at the paper like hmmm I'll take her."
"Daily Bread" is in stores now.
First video from "Faces", which will be out November 8th.

Official's Fall 2011 (delivery 2) video lookbook utilizes the iconic scenery of Gotham City as its backdrop for the first installment of a three season series of video lookbooks titled 'Stay Official' featuring C Plus. In this first installment we follow the California-based MC on a visit to New York to attend a few events such as the "Bring Your Own Blogger BBQ + Festival" and a rare meet-up with legendary hip hop producer Ski Beatz for a recording session.

YesterdayMonday Bobby Ray held his first listening session for his upcoming sophomore album "Strange Clouds." We were treated to 7 new songs, including his next single "Play The Guitar" which features Andre 3000. There are a few other big guest appearences so far, as the album is not fully complete, in Big K.R.I.T., Nelly and T.I.. He also worked with One Republic for an amazing track and is said to have quote "the song of 2012 with a mega feature from somebody who never does features with anyone!" That one had my brain going. I've been told, even if I guess who it is, I will still doubt myself because it's just that big! What he has so far for the album is extremely on point. His growth shows, and the energy and passion is at max level. We caught up with him and spoke to him about his creative process on this project as opposed to his first, where he wants to take his music, what his fans can take away from the new album, how the lead single "Strange Clouds" came together with a Dubstep feel, and more. Look for the album March, 2012. Trust me, it's worth the wait.
