L.E.P. Bogus Boys Talk Lending Chief Keef Advice, Chicago Corruption & Tasteful “Gangster Music” [Video]

L.E.P. Bogus Boys discuss their relationship with Chief Keef and why they feel responsible to lend him and other young Chicago artists advice. "That's (Chief Keef) our little brother ...They know that we are out here (too). We have been through what they are going through so they tend to listen to us. ... They look up to us and they come up listening to our music." After clarifying the term "gangster", The Ex-Harold Ickies Project residents spoke on Chicago's corruption and why they are not proud to be the "Murder Capital". "Chicago is 99.9% Gangster. That just is what it is. ... We are the murder capital and that is not nothing that I am proud of. We gotta tell that story. We aint advocating, but we are telling our story so people know what Chicago is about." The Chicago tandem discuss the balance of quality vs. quantity and how they have grown to become very tasteful about how they create their music. "We make it tasteful. We don't just (be like) 'we gonna' shoot em'. We gonna kill em'.' ... We telling our story man, and a lot of times when you tell a story with a movement along with it people tend to gravitate to it." "Now we understand the nature of the game as far as career moves. We gotta have quantity as well. We are trying to incorporate them both. We started out with just quality, quality of production, quality of .. we took our time and made sure it was well crafted."
