Treach feat. STORi – Come On [Stream x Download]

Hip Hop icon, Treach has been working hard in the studio gearing up for his new movement with long time partner, DJ Kay Gee as they prepare to introduce new music by way of Naughty Nation. Naughty Nation is the collaboration between the duo who is working on new music to be released fall 2014. While filming for Couples Therapy in L.A and assembling new sounds for the project, Treach came together with Grammy Nominated producer Scoop DeVille, known for producing tracks for Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Eminem just to name a few, in Glenwood Studios in Burbank and the two came up with the idea to flip the well known “OPP” track to produce “Come On.” Treach, wanting to feature a new artist on the track thought it would be perfect to spotlight an emerging talent coming from NJ. Coincidentally, Scoop had just been working with Motown’s next female star, STORi, who happens to be from N.J. and suggested that she come into the studio. STORi arrived at the studio and the rest is history.

Boaz Speaks On Meeting Scarface And His New, Obie Trice-Inspired EP [Video]

Rostrum Records’ Boaz turned quite a few heads with his latest project, Real Name, No Gimmicks Vol. 1. Featuring five stellar tracks, and guest appearances from Scarface, Punch, Crooked I, Sean Price and Chevy Woods, the EP wowed us, so we had to catch up with Boaz for an interview. Speaking with our very own Jen DeLeon, Boaz discusses the parallels he sees between himself and Obie Trice, how crazy it was to meet the OG Scarface, and his next album, a “classic” in his eyes. Speaking on that yet-untitled project, the MC promised a feature from The LOX and described the whole project as “in your face, good hip-hop music. Everybody can find something to listen to, it’s a collage of good stuff.”

Atlanta rapper Young Scooter’s latest mixtape “80’s Baby” is currently heating up the streets. Recently during a private “80’s Baby” listening event here in Atlanta, HHS1987 had a moment to speak with Young Scooter about his “80’s Baby” project and more. Young Scooter spoke to HHS1987 about the importance of dropping this mixtape DJ free and why he felt it was important to host his private listening event in Atlanta. Young Scooter also took time to acknowledge the production team known as Chophouze. With Chophouze being responsible for ten of the twenty tracks on Scooter’s “80 Baby” project, he explained why they work so well together. Before entering the listening event Young Scooter informed us that he plans to drop two more mixtapes before the year is out followed by the release of his debut album on March 28, 2015.
