Thought appeared on both Extended Play and Statik’s new album, What Goes Around. In this interview, Statik shares the story of how Thought recorded his 32-bar verse in Statik’s home studio and left before 4 minutes passed. To get Thought’s verse recorded for What Goes Around, Statik took a $300 cab ride to Thought’s NJ home and Thought recorded 52 bars on a USB mic sitting on the coffee table. Statik, DJ Eclipse, and D-Stroy go on to talk about how Black Thought is one of the most underrated emcees of all-time and should be in everyone’s top 10 list. Statik also hints that there is a chance he’ll record a full-length collaboration album with Black Thought as a solo emcee, as requested by the fans. Purchase What Goes Around here.
