Ty Dolla $ign: “Mike Brown Case Is BS, But Don’t Destroy The City” [Video]

VladTV caught up with “Or Nah” singer Ty Dolla $ign and briefly spoke on his good friend YG’s new film “Blame It on the Streets,” his own new album dropping soon, and his opinion on the recent news of officer Darren Wilson not being indicted for the killing of Mike Brown in Ferguson, MO. Dolla reveals that he has actually seen YG’s film already, but that he wanted to see it on the big screen which is why he hit up the event. He also chose not to reveal anything about the film and encourages viewers to seek out the film and see it themselves. The “Paranoid” artist also says he’ll finally be releasing his debut album, “Free TC,” in March on Atlantic Records. The South Central native also shared his thoughts on the current state of Ferguson, MO., saying it’s a horrible situation that keeps on happening, but that he also believes Ferguson residents shouldn’t destroy their own city out of anger.

VladTV recently caught up with Too $hort at the premiere of YG’s “Blame It On The Streets,” and he shared his thoughts on the Mike Brown verdict. The legendary West Coast rapper says that he got the news late, but adds that “justifiable homicides” happen all the time. During the conversation Too $hort also spoke about how his streets smarts helped him go further in his career, and says it’s all about balancing your business life and street life. YG: “I Apply My Street Hustle To The Industry All The Time” [Video]

VladTV hit up YG’s “Blame it On The Streets” screening in Los Angeles and briefly chopped it up with the man himself on the red carpet. The “Do it To Ya” rapper shared that he wanted to drop the film alongside his album, “My Krazy Life,” (as the movie is based on 2 tracks from the album) but couldn’t get it finished on time. Still, he’s happy it’s finally hitting the streets and is proud to say he acted in, wrote, and co-directed the film himself. When it comes to lessons learned in the streets, YG says he had no choice but to hustle growing up, and that he applies that same attitude to the industry, which is why he’s adamant about being consistent with his various releases.
