ASAP Ferg’s First Interview Since The Passing Of ASAP Yams [Video]

As you probably know, one of the founding members of the A$AP Mob, and the man generally known as the vision behind the crew, A$AP Yams, passed away suddenly over the weekend. Although all of the A$AP members must be grieving at this time, Ferg didn’t let it stop from him performing the other night in Maryland, and after the show, he even sat down for an interview with our correspondent Baker. Ferg opened the interview by discussing the death of Yams, saying, “We had a tragedy happen today, earlier this morning, the co-founder of A$AP Worldwide, Yams, my brother, he passed away. You know we got through it with the show and all that but I’m still hurting.” As the rest of the interview transpired, Baker and Ferg discussed Ferg’s recent mixtape Ferg Forever, as well as what the week-long tour with YG has been like. Dr. Dre & Kendrick Lamar Join Game @ “The Documentary” 10th Anniversary Show [Video]

Two weeks ago, Los Angeles rapper The Game revealed plans to celebrate MLK weekend and the release of his debut album The Documentary with a special concert. Yesterday marked the project’s 10 year anniversary, which he took over the Belasco Theatre to celebrate his career. Chuck Taylor promised fans to expect a few surprises, but he shocked all re-uniting with Dr. Dre on stage to perform “Runnin,” as well as brining out Kendrick Lamar for an updated version of “Westside Story.” Last year, the Bompton rapper took most of the year to promote his Blood Money Entertainment imprint with the release of his Year Of The Wolf album. Before listeners got their hands on that project, he revealed plans to release The Documentary 2 on the day of his original project in 2005. via OS

Rich Homie Quan: “My Fans Will Help Pick Single For Upcoming EP” [Video]

Rich Homie Quan broke down what he has in the works during a recent chat with VladTV. The Atlanta spitter briefly discussed an upcoming five-song EP for which he’s enlisting the help of his fans to choose the project’s single. Calling it some of the “greatest music I’ve done,” Quan went on to name some of the producers working on the album, and also revealed that the project is a reinvention of his sound.

Logic: “I Only Work With Producers Who Really Feel My Music” [Video]

Def Jam rapper Logic touched on what comes into play when choosing the producers he works with during a recent chat with VladTV. Logic recalled that while he could have approached some of the biggest names in the game with a blank check from his label, the Maryland native was only interested in linking up with producers who had a genuine desire to work with him, money aside. “When creating [Under Pressure}, sure, there were a lot of people that I could have went to, but I ended up going to my favorites, like my favorite people that I’ve had a connection with…,” Logic explained.
