While in Los Angeles for the Budweiser Made In America festival this year, we caught up with the legendary rap trio Cypress Hill. B. Real, Eric “Bobo” Correa and Sen Dog talk to STASHED about their first time performing at the festival as well as who they wanted to see perform the most. The group also spoke at length about their legacy in Hip-Hop which includes being the first Latino-American hip hop group to have platinum and multi-platinum albums. “We’re all very proud of our legacy that we’ve left in music, our imprint we left on the word, and we take it seriously, you know” said Sen Dog. “It’s a very special thing to be able to go to different countries and perform and have fans dig it.” The group also talks at length about a brand new album that is getting ready to drop in 2015, an album in which they reunite with one of the group’s founding members. “We’re back in the studio with DJ Muggs,” said B. Real. “We’ve been working on it for a while and it’s going to be a powerful album. It’s a very vibey, moody album like we are known for, but with a now sound. Updated with a couple of twists.”

Bobo Meets Rhettmatic offers new mixes from upcoming project Cypress Junkies – a three-part mixtape series with EP, due November 3, 2011. The group’s new capsule-inspired release contains three new mixes and four original studio tracks with a feature by Dilated’s Rakaa Iriscience and Fitz and The Tantrum’s, Noelle Scaggs. In 2009, Eric Bobo of the legendary group, Cypress Hill & world famous Beat Junkie, Rhettmatic formed a Dj/Percussion group called “Bobo Meets Rhettmatic” based off the collaboration title song off Bobo’s debut solo album “Meeting Of The Minds”. Last year the duo introduced their highly acclaimed “Bobo Meets Rhettmatic – The Mixtape” and have been touring all around the world since.
