Ludacris Talks Kanye, Acting, Twitter Quotes, “Ludaversal”, Ludacris Foundation [Video]

Posted on May 24, 2013

Exclusive interview with Ludacris. In part 2 Luda talks to Nick Huff Barili about his 8th studio album titled Ludaversal which he says will come out this year. Luda describes the transition into acting saying: "As a rapper people are always going to want to typecast you but its my duty to pick roles that people would not expect me to do....I want to be all over the scale so you can not put me in a box." Luda says that he has not watched Kanye's New Slave projections because his schedule has been so hectic but he thinks it marketing genius. Luda also addresses a story by DJ Whoo Kid who states that Luda was in the studio with Kanye before he got into his car accident in 2002. Luda says that he remembers Kanye rapping for him that night and being happy that he was ok after the accident and that he was going to dive into this hip hop game regardless of what happened. As the interview switches topics Luda shares the meaning behind several recent twitter quotes he has posted. First: "If you put off everything till you're sure of it, you'll never get anything done." Luda say an example of this is when he got into music not being sure he was going to make it but knowing he had a love. Second:"Successful leaders see the opportunities in every difficulty rather than the difficulty in every opportunity." You will have to watch the interview to find out what made him want to post that. Third: "All that we are is the result of what we have thought." -- Buddha. "We are our own thoughts man" states Luda. "If you think negatively then negative things are going to happen. Its a as simple as that. If you make it a point to think positive no matter what, through thick and thing...then good things are going to happen." Luda goes on to say that he loves to laugh which is why he started his hashtag #nowthatsludicrous on instagram posting funny pictures. "Sometimes that's what gets people through the day." The interview ends with Luda taking about The Ludacris Foundation. "We been doing it about a decade now...Its just something about knowing that you can dedicate time, energy, money, whatever you can to help fix up your own community. Cause if we dont help each other out, who the hell will?!

Ludacris Talks LL Cool J, Upcoming Mixtape, New Generation Of Rappers [Video]

Posted on May 22, 2013

Exclusive interview with Ludacris. In part 1 Luda talks to Nick Huff Barili about how LL Cool J's track I'm Bad made him want to start rapping. Ludacris wrote his first rhyme at 9 years old about...his girlfriend. He goes on to say that when he is constructing a song he lets the beat create an atmosphere for how he feels and then he writes to the emotion of that. As we switch topics Luda talks about his upcoming mixtape which is dropping this friday (May 24th). Luda explains why he chose to called it "I don't give a fuck". One of the track from the leaked track-listing that has people talking is "Mad For" which features Chris Brown, Meek Mill and Pusha T all of whom along with Luda have had some things to say about Drake. Luda states that he was not aware that everyone on the track had issues with Drake and that he does not tell other rappers what to write about on his tracks. He goes on to say that his verse on the track in not directed at anyone in particular. Luda is releasing the mixtape for free to flood the streets with new music and to let everyone know that music is still number 1 to him regardless of him shooting a couple movies. Ludacris says that he loves the new generation of rappers, how people are creating their own lanes and growing their own underground movements before major labels even get involved. When asked how he feels about the comments another southern legend Scarface made in our recent interview about Hip Hop losing its Soul, Luda says that "There are so many other genres that are mixing in [to Hip Hop] where it feels like we are loosing soul in the translation. But I definitively feel like there is soul in Hip Hop."
